Triple Berry Salad for Your Main Meal?
My Recipe for Triple Berry Salad with Toasted Almonds
To make the Triple Berry Salad simply pick the greens of your choice, wash some berries, and toast some almonds, and this salad is ready. I love to top it with my creamy balsamic dressing, but there are lots of dressings that go perfectly with it!
- Wash and dry salad greens. Top with berries and toasted almonds. Drizzle
withtthe salad dressing of your choice.
Toasting almonds <g class="gr_ gr_66 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_run_anim gr_inline_cards Grammar multiReplace" id="66" data-gr-id="66">is</g> super easy and quick ... just make sure you watch them like a hawk since they can turn from golden to burnt quickly! Preheat your oven (I use my toaster oven) to 350 degrees F. Place sliced almonds on a baking sheet and cook for 3-4 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven immediately and cool.
Make this salad into a dinner by doubling the serving and, if you want, topping it with some chicken!
Kitchen Tips and Resources:
- A salad spinner is perfect for getting all types of greens clean and dry. I use mine all the time, especially with greens from my farmer or the farmers market. If you don’t have one, check out this top-rated one from OXO. It works well, and it’s super easy to clean!
- A great pair of wooden salad tongs makes serving up your Triple Berry Salad a breeze. Here are a couple of my favorites!
- As I’ve shared in other posts, cutting boards and knives are two kitchen essentials. I love these great, non-slip cutting boards and my Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Signature brand knives.
